NCO Training
April 22-23, 2006
I would like to thank all those who attended last weekend’s NCO School at “Camp Workman”. A total of 12 students attended all or part of the sessions. We had fruitful discussions on leadership, historical background of ranks, the officer/NCO relationship, and practical exercises on company formation, roll call, alignment, duties of guides, color guard, relief of sentinels, military courtesy and guard mounting. A good time was had by all, and we even had some comic relief when one of the sentinels “deserted” during the picket line exercise.
Mr Workman once again proved a gracious host, with his sister Sue providing beverages between sessions. Even the weather cooperated. Hopefully, we can repeat the program next year with an even better turnout.
